6 Day Online Intensive
During this introductory online intensive, participants will train in the culture of Creative Freedom, at the root of Demidov Organic Acting Technique. Intensive will feature Demidov’s signature etudes (improvisational exercises with given text). Demidov etudes with spontaneously emerging circumstances, character and relationships, stimulate actors’ unpredictability and emotional richness and instigate free flow of subconscious creativity. Participants in the course will approach the intimate process of character’s inception and the art of inexact (creative) repetition. At the conclusion of the intensive, training will center on Demidov’s unique method of manifesting “given circumstances” by evoking their energy in the space. Also featured in the intensive, are techniques of Creative Passivity (surrender) and Perception (truly seeing and hearing), intrinsic to the Art of Living Onstage.

Assigning the text. Technique of the “beginning” – “non-restructuring.”
Day 2; August 18
The technique of “green-lighting.”
Day 3; August 19
The origin of “given circumstances.”
August 20: DAY OFF/HOMEWORK
Day 4; August 21
Approach to character: “Me” and “Not me.”
Day 5; August 22
Inexact (“creative”) repetition.
Day 6; August 23
How character and circumstances specify and deepen with inexact (“creative”) repetition.
